Sworn translation from French to Spanish and Spanish to French

A sworn translation is an official translation stamped and certified by a sworn translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (www.maec.es). This kind of translation is necessary for many administrative formalities both for businesses and private individuals.

In Spain, a sworn translation carried out by a sworn translator or interpreter has official value. However, when this kind of translation is required for other countries, a legally approved translation may be required.

The most common requirement is the Hague Apostille (or diplomatic or consular legal approval if the destination country has not signed the Convention). Notarised confirmation of the sworn translator’s signature or legal approval of the sworn translation before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation may also be required.

These aspects must therefore be considered when presenting sworn translations to the bodies requiring them.

I was appointed a French sworn translator and interpreter in 2003. Don’t hesitate to ask me for a quote for your sworn translations from French to Spanish or Spanish to French by telephone or e-mail.
